DATA SOURCES & ATTRIBUTION

Third-party data, local calculations.

AetherLedger combines community market observations with game reference metadata. Provider availability and accuracy remain outside the application’s control.

MARKET-BOARD DATA

Universalis

Universalis is a community-operated third-party service. AetherLedger uses its REST API for world and data-center reference data plus controlled market hydration or reconciliation. One secure WebSocket receives supported listing and completed-sale updates while the application runs.

Validated observations are written to local SQLite before any screen can read them. Universalis data may be incomplete, delayed, stale, duplicated, or inaccurate.

GAME REFERENCE DATA

XIVAPI v2

XIVAPI is a third-party service. AetherLedger uses XIVAPI v2 for the item names, descriptions, categories, jobs, recipes, yields, ingredients, gathering references, and icon paths needed by implemented screens.

Validated PNG icons are downloaded by the Electron main process into a managed local cache. The interface does not hotlink arbitrary provider images.
